Duration: 18 months

Main objective:To support the sustainable development of the cross-border tourism from Romania and Bulgaria and to increase the promotion of the mountain area from district Mehedinti and counties Vidin and Montana by creating new products and services and through direct involvement all interested stakeholders in tourism development that will increase the number of the tourists in the region. New touristic offer will increasing the number of the loving mountain tourists and promoting the mountain cross-border area from county Mehedinti in Romania and districts Vidin and Montana in Bulgaria. Promotion of the mountain tourism activities and the mountain cycling routes created within the project will increase the number of tourists will visiting this unique part of the region. The mountain electrical bikes will protect and will promotion of nature-friendly attitude in the cross-border mountain region.

Activities:
1. Project management;
2. Development of Studies for identifying the types of trails for mountain electric bikes (trails with varying degrees of difficulty);
3. Development of a Common Marketing Strategy for the trails, identified for mountain electric bikes from county Mehedinti, Romania, and from districts Vidin and Montana, Bulgaria;
4. Acquisition of 150 of the mountain electrical bikes with GPS;
5. Organized seminars with the stakeholders (tour-operators, NGO’s in tourism activities, representatives of local and regional public administration etc.) from the target area to promote the new product and to select e-bike operators;
6. Organizing the joint trainings for e-bike maintenance with the selected operators;
7. Information and publicity campaign;
8. Organization of joint info-tour to promote tourism with mountain electric bikes on the trails identified by the studies in the county Mehedinti from Romania, and in the districts Vidin and Montana from Bulgaria;
9. Participation at the tourism fairs of Sofia and Bucharest.
